Further to the success of the design of Merlin Entertainments’ Thorpe Park Donut Factory by LOMI, we were asked to design the donut offer for Alton Towers to fit with the themed area within the site.

Background

The site of the new donut offer was an existing building based within the extreme rides area of the Alton Towers site. LOMI developed several design concepts that reflected the bold colourful appearance of the various rides around the site itself.

Result

A bold Chevron graphic was created along with simple circles to reflect an industrial feel that also doubled as a directional tool. A strong orange and black colour palette was used to further enhance the eye catching aspect of the design. Orange tubing was added to the top of the building to add a factory aspect to the building.
